Review
This app was created as a playful, responsive web experience where users build a personal trainer profile based on their age, select three Pokémon, and explore their stats. Inspired by the idea of connecting identity with choice, the project blends interactive UI with dynamic data to make exploration fun and intuitive.
Post-launch research goal:
To understand how users engage with profile creation and Pokémon selection, identify usability gaps, and gather feedback to improve responsiveness, clarity, and overall enjoyment
Key Questions:
- Do users understand how to create and edit their profile easily?
- Is the Pokémon selection process intuitive and enjoyable?
- Are users exploring the Pokémon stats after selection—or dropping off early?
- Does the app perform smoothly across different screen sizes and devices?
Guerrilla Test Overview
A quick guerrilla test was run with 4 users at a tech meetup. Each created a trainer profile, picked Pokémon, and explored stats. Observers noted confusion, skipped steps, and feedback—revealing key areas to improve navigation and clarity.
Conclusions:
- Profile creation was mostly smooth, though a few users missed the option to upload a picture.
- Stat exploration was engaging, but some users didn’t realize they could slide down to check available pokemons.
- Navigation worked well on tablets, confirming the app’s responsive design across devices.
